Man Killed in Scioto County Crash

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man from Wheelersburg has died in car crash in Scioto County.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says 53-year-old Monty J. Hughes lost control of his car, over corrected, and then hit an embankment and utility pole.

The accident happened on County Road 64 (Maple Benner Road) Wednesday night.

Hughes was taken to the Southern Ohio Medical Center where he died.
