CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia will double as Germany, Mexico, and France in a miniseries set to premiere on the History Channel on Memorial Day.

"The World Wars" spans 30 years of history that truly changed the world.

The executive director of the miniseries said West Virginia's scenery was perfectly adaptable to many of the series scenes.

The group took advantage of the West Virginia film tax credit, which provides an incentive for things just like this to be shot in the Mountain State.

The show premieres at 9 p.m. Monday on the History Channel.
