CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The holiday week will affect garage collection in the city of Charleston.
According to a news release, Thanksgiving will delay trash pick-up by a day for people in Charleston on Thursday and Friday collection schedules.
City leaders say people in the majority of the South Hills and Fort Hill areas, whose usual collection day is Thursday, will have their garbage and recycling collected on Friday this week. Then on Saturday, collection crews will cover the normal Friday collection routes covering Charleston’s west side.
Next week the city will operate under its normal schedule.
