Hour-long Standoff; One Man Arrested

ATHENS COUNTY, Oh (WSAZ) -- One man has been arrested following an hour-long standoff with police in Ohio.
It happened Saturday evening in Glouster.
Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly said Sam Balch fired several shots and his girlfriend and threatened to kill her.
Police tried to talk to balch for nearly an hour but failed.
The sheriff's special response team had to go inside the home and take Balch into custody without incident.
Balch now faces several charges and has been taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
