UPDATE: Weather Concerns Postpone 31st Street Bridge Closure

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Due to rainy conditions, a change has been made to a bridge inspection in Huntington.

Crews started the inspection Monday morning at 9 a.m. on the 31st Street Bridge.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the entire week, the bridge will be down to one lane.

The bridge was originally scheduled to be completely closed overnight Tuesday for deck survey. However, due to inclement weather, the closure will take place from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.

The inspection is expected to wrap up Friday afternoon.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The annual bridge inspection for the 31st Street Bridge in Huntington that started Monday morning could affect your drive.

The work started about 9 a.m. Monday.

The bridge will be down to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

The bridge will be completely shut down from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
