Huntington Junior College gets Grant for Training

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The U.S. Department of Education has awarded a $266,175 grant to Huntington Junior College.

U.S. Senators Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin made the announcement Thursday.

The two-year grant will be used to train and place 20 high school students and 25 adults in real-time writing careers.

The grant will also help retrain 80 court reporters in the state.
