UPDATE: Body Found in Huntington Identified as Missing Man

UPDATE 4/8/13 @ 11:20 a.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A body found in the Altizer section of Huntington on Saturday has been identified as Kenneth Nash.

Huntington Police say a resident walking along the tracks just west of 5th Street found Nash’s truck in some heavy brush, his body was then located about15 feet from the truck.

Police say there was no trauma to the body and they do not believe there was any foul play.

Nash, 55, was reported missing by family back on April 2. Family members told police that Nash sounded very disoriented the last time they spoke with him.

Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine if the cause of death had anything to do with exposure and/or medical conditions.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are calling the body found in the Altizer area of Huntington suspicious.

Investigators tell WSAZ.com a man walking near the railroad tracks discovered the body about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the man's body was found not far from a car belonging to Kenneth Nash, 55, who has been missing since Monday. Investigators would not confirm whether or not the body was that of Nash.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A body was discovered lying outside a car in the Altizer area of Huntington.

Huntington Police tell WSAZ.com the body was found near the railroad tracks not far from a parking lot in the 4400 block of Altizer Avenue about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the man's body was found not far from a car belonging to Kenneth Nash, 55, who has been missing since Monday. Investigators have not commented whether or not there is a connection between the body and Nash's car.

The West Virginia State Medical Examiner has been called to determine a positive identification of the body.

More information is expected to be released within the hour. We have a crew on the scene.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A family is searching for answers in the case of a missing loved one.

Huntington Police say 55-year-old Kenneth Nash was last heard from about 9 p.m. Monday.

Family members told police that Nash sounded disoriented when they talked to him. They also said he had some recent health issues.

Police say Nash, who lives in the Altizer section of Huntington, is likely driving a 2012 silver, GMC full-sized pickup with W.Va. license, 2B-3339.

Nash is 6’2”, 230 pounds with blond/gray collar-length hair and matching full beard. He usually wears glasses and a ball cap.

Anyone with information on Nash is asked to call 911 or 304-696-4444.
