HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The City of Hurricane Water Department is opening fire hydrants to distribute water to residents.
They are distributing the water at the Hurricane Fire Department and Hurricane WalMart.
They are offering up to 20 gallons per person until 8 p.m.
They are asking people to bring containers, and use common sense in the amount they take.
The tanks are full so they plan to be here until the crisis is over.
Ben Newhouse, Hurricane City Manager says the contamination does not affect the City of Hurricane, with the exception of Grandview and Lake Drive areas.
