UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Ironton Residents

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A boil water advisory has been lifted from residents in Ironton, Ohio.

Water Department Officials tell WSAZ.com that a hydrant under repair broke off a water main along Deep Cut Road on Tuesday. As a result, the water was turned off to residences and businesses in a several block area that includes the Ironton Hills Plaza, Deep Cut Road, Lawrence Street and Yellow Branch.

The boil water advisory has now been lifted.

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A problem with a fire hydrant is going to mean a loss of water to a number of people in Ironton, Ohio Tuesday afternoon.

Water Department Officials tell WSAZ.com that a hydrant under repair broke off a water main along Deep Cut Road. The problem happened just before Noon.

As a result, the water is being turned off to residences and businesses in a several block area that includes the Ironton Hills Plaza, Deep Cut Road, Lawrence Street and Yellow Branch.

Once the repair is made, water service will be restores, but a boil water advisory will then be effect for those area.
