CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- I-79 is back open after a rollover crash near Clendenin.
The crash was reported about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews on the scene say the driver of a truck lost control in the southbound lanes, hit a patch of ice, and the truck flipped onto its top in the northbound lanes.
The driver was ejected from the truck. The passenger was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters.
Both were sent to the hospital. No word on their names or conditions.
Crews on the scene reported black ice in the area. They are now putting salt on the road in an effort to prevent further crashes.

Dispatchers say they have gotten several reports of black ice in the area.
It is not clear if the ice contributed to the crash.
