CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Metro 911 Board in Kanawha County will soon have a new director.
Carolyn Charnock will resign on September 4.
She will take over as public relations and marketing specialist at the Kanawha County Ambulance authority.
The board met Tuesday and said former Kanawha County Chief Deputy Johnny Rutherford would serve as interim director until a permanent replacement is found.
Rutherford is running unopposed in the general election for sheriff.
He resigned as chief deputy last week to avoid any conflict.
