LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police in Hamlin have arrested three people in connection with a copper theft conspiracy that happened last month.
Troopers picked up Delbert Porter, Lenville Porter and Spicie Porter.
They say the three family members stole about $90,000 worth of copper wire from Frontier during the month of August.
The wire was stolen on 17 separate occasions causing repeated phone outages for neighbors.
Investigators say receipts found at local salvage yards lead them to the suspects.
They are all charged with transferring and receiving stolen property, destruction of property to a public utility, arson and conspiracy. Spicie Porter faces charges in both Lincoln and Logan Counties.
More arrests may be made.
