LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A mother and her boyfriend face multiple charges after police say they took two young children along for a drunken ride during the weekend, West Virginia State Police say.
Joshua Browning, 31, and Candace George, both of Griffithsville, W.Va., each was charged with two counts of child neglect resulting in risk of injury and two counts of giving false information to state police.
Troopers in Hamlin tell us Browning kicked George out of a car during an argument Sunday night. Police say he then took off with her 2-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son in the backseat.
Browning was later found and arrested at a home along Merritts Creek Road in Griffithsville.
Since troopers say George let her children ride with Browning, knowing he was drunk, she faces the same charges as he does.
