LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Madison Creek Road is closed because of emergency repairs nearby on W.Va. 10 due to road slippage, according to information from the West Virginia Division of Highways.
The contractor over the project has expressed concerns for the safety of motorists, due to slipping of the hillside and the potential of heavy rains. The road will remain closed until further notice.
In January, construction was completed on a causeway crossing the Guyandotte River. The temporary structures’ primary purpose is to give residents of Madison Creek access to their homes during these types of necessary closures.
