UPDATE: Former Janitor Sentenced to Prison in Sexual Assault Case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A former janitor at a school in Charleston is going to prison for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Charles Hogan was sentenced to 15 to 35 years in prison during a hearing Wednesday. Back in June, he admitted to molesting a seven year old girl he was babysitting.

At the time of Hogan's arrest, he was a janitor at the Bible Center School.

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A former janitor at a school in Charleston has admitted to sexually assaulting a young girl.

Charles Hogan was in court Monday.

He pleaded guilty to molesting a seven-year-old girl that he was babysitting.

At the time of his arrest, Hogan was a janitor at the Bible Center School.

He faces 15 to 35 years in prison when he is sentenced July 25th.

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man who was supposed to be protecting a little girl is now in jail, accused of sexually abusing her.

Charles Hogan of Nitro was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with first-degree sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.

Police found out about the abuse when the little girl told her mother about it.

The girl told police that Hogan touched her inappropriately and performed sexual acts on her on several occasions.

The abuse happened while Hogan was babysitting the girl.

Hogan is in the South Central Regional Jail.
