UPDATE 8/14/13 @ 9:45 a.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Scott Depot is facing a murder charge after his brother was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning.

Jonathan Facemyre was arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of his brother, Michael Facemyre.

The alleged crime happened about 1 a.m. at a home on Thomas Drive in Scott Depot.

Investigators say Jonathan Facemyre, 25, stabbed his brother, Michael, 36, multiple times in the chest and arm during a fight. Michael was taken to CAMC Teays Valley where he was pronounced dead.

According to the criminal complaint, Michael's sister called 911 to report he had been struck by their other brother and needed help.

Detectives say once they got on scene they found Michael with multiple stab wounds and a large amount of blood on the porch of the home.

The sister told detectives she heard Michael say "he tried to kill me" and then she heard Jonathan say "I will finish you off if you want me to," according to the criminal complaint.

Jonathan made a phone call before he left the home, but was later found by investigators and charged with the crime.

Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese tells WSAZ.com there has been a long history of violence between the brothers.

"They've been known to fight at all times. All hours of the day, all hours of the night; more so at night," Sheriff Deweese said. "I don't know the exact numbers that we've been to the house, but they were arguing last night. I don't know what the argument was over at this point."

Jonathan is charged with first degree murder. He will be arraigned in Putnam County Magistrate Court.
