Man Arrested After Attacking Girlfriend

VINTON COUNTY, Oh (WSAZ) -- A man is in jail after he assaulted and threatened his girlfriend with a shotgun.
Vinton County deputies arrested Brian Johnston after they say his girlfriend called 911.
It happened about 4 Saturday morning.
The girlfriend told deputies Johnston was drunk and attacked her.
Deputies say Johnston came onto the front porch with his gun in hand when they arrived.
Johnston's girlfriend ran to a nearby relatives house. Deputies say she suffered minor injuries.
He is now behind bars at the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail.
