Man Arrested in Connection with Business Break-ins

SCIOTO COUTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A man from West Portsmouth has been arrested in connection with two separate business break-ins over the past couple of weeks.

The Scioto County Sheriff says a number of auto parts were stolen in the first break-in at Journey’s Auto on November 25.

In the second break-in, which happened Tuesday, a 1999 Dodge pickup was stolen from Rusty’s Auto Sales.

Thursday, detectives arrested 21-year-old Cody Hiram Bennett

Charges are also expected to be filed against a second person in the case. That person’s name has not been released.

The stolen truck and some of the auto parts have been recovered according to the Sheriff.
