FORT GAY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Neighbors in one town are feeling some optimism that they're gaining ground in the war on drugs.
Thursday night the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department made their second bust this week in Fort Gay.
Just after midnight, deputies showed up at Acie Stacy's home with a search warrant.
He wasn’t home. Deputies went in and found a pound and a half of marijuana, 5 thousand dollars in cash, and 5 different kinds of pills.
While deputies were searching the home, Stacy pulled into the driveway, and they arrested him.
This came after another big drug bust from Sunday where three members of one family in Fort Gay were arrested.
Neighbors say they're thrilled to see their community being cleaned up.
"It's very, very soothing to know law enforcement is stepping up and involved," Gena Powers, who lives across from Stacy, said.
Deputies can't comment now on whether or not Stacy is connected with the suspects from the bust earlier in the week.
Stacy is being held on a 100-thousand dollar bond in the Western Regional Jail.
