HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 24-year-old man from Huntington was arrested Monday on charges of sexually abusing a 4-year-old family member, West Virginia State Police say.
Matthew Daniel Browning is charged with three counts of sexual abuse and three counts of sexual abuse by a parent.
Browning was arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court Monday night. His bond was set at $240,000.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl told her grandmother about the alleged abuse. Cabell County Child Protective Services then investigated the case, which was later referred to West Virginia State Police.
The complaint states that the alleged abuse happened multiple times between January and June of this year in the hallway and a bedroom of Browning's home.
State Police say Browning confessed to the incidents.
He is being held in the Western Regional Jail
