KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va (WSAZ) -- A man from Kanawha County has been arrested on meth-making charges.
Deputies arrest Corey Cranfield after they received a tip that someone was making methamphetamine in a building behind a house on Rick Fork Road.
According to the release, deputies searched the home and found no evidence of a meth lab inside.
However, Deputies say as they exited the home they spotted a man sleeping in front of a building near the road.
After deputies woke the man they discovered he was holding a glass plate that was partially covered with white residue.
Deputies also discovered that the man had been sitting on a blue ammo can and was hiding a black backpack behind him.
After a search, meth making materials were found in both the ammo can and backpack.
Deputies say the man had at least 13.5 grams of methamphetamine on him.
