Man Busted for Drugs in Meigs County, Ohio

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Deputies in Meigs County busted a man they say had a large amount of drugs.

Sheriff Keith Wood tells deputies stopped Roy Pierce, 34, of Racine, on Main Street in Pomeroy for an expired license plate.

After approaching the car, deputies discovered Pierce had a suspended driver's license.

Deputies then contacted the Syracuse Police Department. The Syracuse K-9 unit sniffed the car and after searching, discovered heroin, syringes and other drug items.

Pierce is currently behind bars.
