Man Charged with Firing Shots at Harris Riverfront Park

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is facing charges after police say he opened fire in a Huntington Park.

Huntington Police say Billy Jack Ferguson, 30, of Crown City, was in the 1000 block of Harris Riverfront Park Wednesday around 2:45. p.m.

According to the criminal complaint, Ferguson fired two rounds from a semi-automatic pistol in an area where there were many people.

He was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, and being a person prohibited from possessing a firearm.

According to Huntington Police, Ferguson was convicted for felony drug trafficking in Gallia County, Ohio, in January 2011.
