FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man faces first-degree murder charges after the remains of a woman were found in an outbuilding along Blaketown Road near Oak Hill, according to a West Virginia State Police news release.

William “Fred” Cody, 61, of Fayetteville, W.Va., is charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested Tuesday.

Remains consistent with a description of Santanea Byers, 24, of Scarbro, W.Va., were found in the outbuilding.
