CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Charleston man has pleaded guilty to stabbing and raping a woman back in November.
According to Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Plants, Erique Harris, 21, of Charleston, pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault.
The charges stem from an incident back in November.
Back in November, police responded to a call for a stabbing on Wertz Avenue and Kanawha Boulevard. When police arrived, they found a woman that had been stabbed in the arm. According to Plants, the stabbing was partially recorded on an open line to Metro Communications when the woman dialed 911.
Officers were able to quickly track down and arrest Harris following the stabbing.
Plants says that Harris faces up to 60 years in jail when his is sentenced on June 12.

The alleged stabbing happened about 7 a.m. Sunday on Wertz Avenue and Kanawha Boulevard.
When police arrived, they found the victim with two cuts on her arm.
The women then told police she knew her attacker and that it was her ex-boyfriend, Erique Harris. She told police Harris stabbed her and then took off.
Police were able to track Harris down and arrest him after finding a knife with the victim's blood on it.
Harris is now in the South Central Regional Jail charged with malicious wounding.
