JEFFERSON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Dozens showed up to a candlelight vigil Sunday night to remember Donald Hugle.

Hugle, 49, was hit by a car outside of Grumpy's Bar in Jefferson, Friday night.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Family and friends say they remember him best for the way he treated others.

"He was the best person anyone would ever want to meet. He had a heart this big. He loved kids, loved everybody. He would do anything for anybody. He never knew an enemy. He had no enemies. All he had was friends,” James Pelphrey, a friend of Hugle, said.

Officials with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office say Hugle's death appears to have been an accident, and the driver has not been charged.
