ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man from Ashland is accused of selling oxycodone pills out of his home and then trying to eat the evidence during a drug bust.
According to the Boyd County Sheriff's Department, 48-year-old Dee Mauk sold some oxycodone tablets in an undercover buy at his home in the 5000 block of Blackburn Avenue about 10:00 p.m. Thursday. Deputies say when they executed a search warrant and entered the home, Mauk attempted to eat some of the oxycodone pills.
Investigators say that deputies discovered money, drug paraphernalia, and other narcotics, including morphine tablets, during their search of the residence.
Mauk was arrested and is charged with drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held this morning in the Boyd County Detention Center.
