CALHOUN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is headed to prison in connection with the death of his daughter.

Ordie Rogers, 32, of Chloe, was sentenced Tuesday in Calhoun County Circuit Court to one to three years in prison.

In December, Rogers pleaded guilty to child neglect resulting in bodily injury in connection with the death of his three-month-old daughter Darlene. The little girl died in February 2012.

Ashley Kreh, 23, the mother of the little girl, is already serving a 40 year prison sentence after pleading guilty to child neglect causing death back in December.

Police say she admitted she had been frustrated and hit the little girl's head on the crib.

Darlene died a few days later.

Both parents were originally charged with second degree murder and child abuse/neglect charges.

Rogers was immediately taken into custody to start serving his sentence.
