UPDATE: Man Arrested After Stabbing; Victim's Name Released

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A stabbing late Monday night sent one person to the hospital and landed another man behind bars.

It happened in St. Albans in the 2700 Block of Forrestal Avenue about 11 p.m.

According to police on the scene, Douglas Wilson, 57, was hit with a club, then stabbed in the side.

St. Albans Police say Wilson told them Jameson Edwards, 26, was the man who stabbed him.

Police found Edwards about a block away with blood on his face.

He was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.

Wilson, was taken to CAMC General with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the incident was not random and the two men know each other.

More charges are pending.
