HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is missing, and Huntington Police are asking for information about his whereabouts.
James Darren Mathis, 37, of Huntington was last seen about 9 p.m. Thursday.
The investigation started after Cabell County 911 dispatchers received a call about 2:15 a.m. Friday of a suspicious or abandoned car on the 31st Street bridge in East Huntington. The car, which was unoccupied when police arrived, was determined to belong to Mathis.
Huntington Police and the U.S. Coast Guard conducted a river search near the bridge, but they didn't find anything.
Mathis is described as about 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has graying hair and was last seen wearing black pants, a white shirt and blue jacket. A photograph of Mathis was not immediately available.
