CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was robbed at gunpoint near a shopping complex on Charleston's west side, according to police.
It happened Saturday evening about 6 p.m. not far from the Drug Emporium.
Detectives tell WSAZ.com the 38-year-old victim was walking outside the Big Lots plaza and saw a man following him. That's when the victim says the suspect approached him under the bridge, pulled out a handgun and robbed the victim.
Police say the suspect went through the victim's pockets and stole a small amount of cash before running off.
Police are investigating and searching for a suspect. The suspect is described as a black man in his mid twenties, roughly six feet tall, 150 pounds and wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
