GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man and a woman were arrested Friday on meth charges, and two children were removed from the home along Water Street in Greenup, according to information from Greenup County Sheriff Keith Cooper.

Nick Kintigos, 44, and Melissa Gillum, 26, both of Greenup, were charged with manufacturing meth and wanton endangerment. Kintigos also was charged with menacing, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of controlled substance.

It happened at 57 Water Street in Greenup.

Greenup Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Fuller was accidentally poked by a needle while searching Kintigos. This is the second time that both Kintigos and Gillum have been arrested together for manufacturing meth.

Two children -- a 3-year old and an 11-month old -- were inside the home when the meth was discovered on a routine warrant. They were taken of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell for decontamination and observation.

The children have been placed with other family by Children's Services.

More charges are expected, Cooper said.
