MARMET, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was beaten and robbed inside his own home Friday. Now, police are looking for the suspect.

Officers say the victim, Bobby Dolin, was hit over the head inside his apartment along 98th Street.

They say Dolin called 911 after a man he thought was his friend paid a visit and attacked him. They say the suspect stole cash that was visible inside the home.

"He had seen some money lying on the table and struck the victim with a stick," inspector Paris Workman said.

Police say the suspect is known by several different names -- "Corey," "Little John," and "Sleepy."

They say he left a black Detroit Tigers baseball cap with a green brim inside the apartment.

Sally Deal says she visits the apartment building often and was shaken up by the crime.

"It's scary ... I mean, anybody could walk inside your house and do something like that," she said.

Police say the victim received stitches and has since been released from the hospital.

If you have any information about this crime, you're asked to call Marmet Police.
