WASHINGTON, D.C. (WSAZ) -- President Barack Obama has nominated Gina McCarthy to become Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
McCarthy previously served as the Assistant Administrator of the EPA's office of air and radiation.
The office develops policies and regulations for limiting air pollution and radiation exposure.
Congress will have to approve the nomination of McCarthy.
