MedExpress Making Plans to Open in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- MedExpress is making plans to open a health care center in Putnam County.

According to a spokesperson with the Putnam County Planning Commission, MedExpress has filed for a building permit to open a center right off of Interstate 64 in Teays Valley.

If the permit is approved, the walk-in care center would be built at the former Exxon location along Teays Valley Road. Exxon closed late last year. Crews were on the property Tuesday demolishing what used to be the gas station.

The planning commission is still in the process of approving MedExpress' permit.
