Meth Bust Leads to Three Arrests in Johnson County, Ky.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A meth bust in Johnson County has landed three men in jail.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department says deputies were serving indictment warrants when they noticed Lucas Moore, Donnis Skaggs and Jason Owens smoking something next to a car.

When deputies searched the car, they say they found an active meth lab inside.

"The chances are of getting caught with them are less than being in a house, or a hotel room, or an apartment or something like that where somebody can smell the chemical smell, so a lot of them put them in a vehicle," Chief Deputy Kevin Pelphrey said.

All three are charged with manufacturing meth and are being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
