CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A motorcycle rider who was sent to the hospital after crashing his bike has now died.
Paul Watters, 56, of South Point, crashed just before 5 p.m. Saturday on County Road 1 in front of Chesapeake High School.
The Ohio Highway Patrol says Watters swerved to avoid stopped traffic, and lost control of his bike. He then drove off the edge of the road, and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
Watters was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where died died on Sunday.
It happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday on County Road 1 in front of Chesapeake High School. Troopers say Paul Watters swerved to avoid stopped traffic, and lost control of his bike. Watters drove off the right edge of the road, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Watters was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
