ORIGINAL STORY 8/7/14
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- South Charleston Police Street Crimes Task Force spent Thursday morning and afternoon taking down suspected heroin dealers.
Police have made at least eight arrests, so far. Of those arrests, some of them include juveniles. Many of the suspects are no strangers to police. Some of them have been charged with drug crimes recently and are out on parole, on probation, or on house arrest.
One suspect told WSAZ.com he had no idea why he was under arrest and he has never sold or done heroin. Many neighbors say it's no surprise. Police raided homes on Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio Avenue. Some of the homes are just down the street from schools and playgrounds.
The suspects are facing distribution and possession charges.
Police have arrested James Spears, Lee Pridemore, Paul Martin, Jacqueline Davis, and Kenneth Daniels along with others.
