Multiple Fire Departments Battled Fire in Kenova

KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Multiple fire departments responded Tuesday afternoon to a house fire in Kenova.

The fire in the 1900-block of Poplar Street was reported about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The house has been converted into two apartments.

The man who lived downstairs tells that he saw smoke coming from the house as he arrived home from a quick trip to the bank.

No one was home in the upstairs apartment when the fire started, and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire was unknown as of late Tuesday.
