CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Racing fans will soon see him on some of the famous tracks in the country, but Thursday a NASCAR driver made a stop in West Virginia.

NASCAR Racer Bobby Dale Earnhardt visited All-N-One and the Drive-In Barbershop in Kanawha City.

The owner of the business, Chavela Simmons is sponsoring Earnhardt in the NASCAR series. She's his first sponsor.

"I am so excited about being a part of the Earnhardt name and the beginning of Bobby Dale's career, and am thrilled he will be starting with a West Virginia Business," Simmons said. "I would also love to see the famous Earnhardt name, through Bobby Dale, representing our state and our business through NASCAR."

According to a news release, Earnhardt is starting his NASCAR career this year with newly formed Earnhardt-Carson Racing. Bobby Dale is the grandson of racing legend Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and nephew of current NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Bobby Dale will tour West Virginia through February 13 in hopes of finding more sponsors. After his stop in Charleston Thursday, Bobby Dale will head to Ripley and Fayetteville.

This Friday, Bobby Dale will be available for a meet and greet at the Moose Lodge #1444 located at 2805 Kanawha Boulevard East in Charleston. The event starts at 7:30 p.m.

On February 13, he will be recognized in the West Virginia Legislature and meet Governor Earl Ray Tomblin.
