KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Nearly 100 crashes were reported in Kanawha County during Thursday snow storm.

Metro 911 says of the 92 crashes reported Thursday, 16 involved injuries.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says they responded to 32 of those crashes.

The Sheriff's Office says the temperature changes and predicted additional snow is sure to cause more hazards for motorists Friday. And although many of the crashes have been weather related, most crashes are driver-caused and can be avoided with extra caution and awareness.

The Sheriff's Office asks that drivers all extra time in your schedule, clear your windows of ice and car tops of snow, and watch out for others on the roadways so everyone can have a safe and accident-free weekend.
