UPDATE 4/12/13 @ 2:48 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A new brew pub in downtown Charleston will open next week, but a little later than planned.
The owners of the Charleston Brewing Company say they have ran into some construction issues.
The plan was to open the pun on Monday. But, because of those construction problems, that has been pushed back to a little later in the week.
Owners aren't giving an exact date just yet.
The pub will be located at the corner of Capitol and Quarrier Street.
The pub will have authentic English food and specialty beers -- all brewed in-house.
During a meeting Thursday, Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals approved a permit to allow the owner of the Charleston Brew Pub to serve alcoholic beverages at the new restaurant located at 702 Quarrier Street.
Ann Saville, the owner of the new pub, says she's excited to bring something new to the Kanawha Valley.
Saville says visitors can expect a little bit of British lifestyle with authentic food and specialty beers brewed in house.
Crews have been working at the brewery for several weeks and it's expected to open on April 8.
Saville also owns Taylor Books along Capitol Street.
