New Fire Station Under Construction in South Charleston

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A new fire station is under construction in South Charleston.

The new station is being built on the site of an old station near the intersection of Weberwood Road and the Thousand Oaks Subdivision.

The old station has already been torn down.

Mayor Frank Mullens says construction is ready to begin on the new building once the weather warms up.

There is no word on when the station will open.
