LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sheriff's Deputies in Lincoln County say a new system is helping them crack down on drugs.
The Anonymous Tip Line was created just a few months ago. Since then, deputies say they've had a spike in drug-related arrests.
They say at least four meth busts and several ongoing investigations can be credited to the tip line.
"We want the Lincoln County citizens to know we're doing our best," said Chief Deputy J.J. Napier. "And we want them to continue to call in those tips...we love it."
Deputies say they typically get about 8-10 calls per day through the line and that about 80 percent of all tips have been useful.
They say it's impossible to trace any calls through the system.
You can call the Anonymous Tip Line at 824-7980.
