Officials: Foul Smell in South Charleston No Harm to Residents

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some residents of South Charleston are complaining of a foul odor, but WSAZ has learned they have nothing to worry about.

City Officials tell WSAZ.com something has upset the treatment process of sewage at Holtz Pond.

They say this has been going on the past two-to-three weeks.

It is located on Dow Chemical property near the the tech park.

The pond is operated by Dow.

Officials say the company has brought in consultants and they are trying to correct the problem.
