UPDATE: Man Indicted for shootings at Motorcycle Club Meeting

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A Pike County man has been indicted on murder and attempted murder charges surrounding a shooting at a motorcycle club meeting in Pike County.

Kentucky State Police say Daniel Ward, 24, of Kimper, shot and killed 29-year-old Bradley Coleman at the club in Stone, Ky. on July 27.

Troopers say Ward also shot two other people, who were taken to the hospital.

Thursday, a grand jury in Pike County indicted Ward on one count of murder.

He was also indicted for attempted murder in the shooting of James D. Justice, and assault for the shooting of Sherry Chapman.

No arraignment date has been set on the charges.

Ward is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The Pike County man arrested and charged in a deadly shooting at a motorcycle club meeting on Sunday is expected to be in court Monday morning.

Kentucky State Police say Daniel Ward, 24, of Kimper, shot and killed 29-year-old Bradley Coleman at the club in Stone, Ky. about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers say Ward also shot two other people who were taken to the hospital. There is no word on their injuries at this time.

Right now, Ward is charged with one count of murder.

According to citation, Ward was arrested about 10 hours later by Pike County Sheriff Deputies on US. 119. According to the citation, Ward initially fled from the deputy on his motorcycle before he stopped.

The deputy says Ward admitted to having at least five beers. The deputy also confiscated a pair of brass knuckles from Ward.

The Sheriff’s Office charged Ward with DUI, fleeing and evading, reckless driving, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Ward is being arraigned on all the charges during a hearing in Pike County District Court Monday morning.

Additional information on the shooting is expected to be released later Monday.

Ward is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating a murder at a motorcycle club meeting.

Investigators say they responded to a call Sunday about three people being shot in Stone, Kentucky.

Troopers say Daniel Ward, 24, of Kimper shot and killed 29-year-old Bradley Coleman.

They say he also shot two other people who were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators arrested Ward as he was leaving the scene.

He is charged with one count of murder. More charges could be filed.

No other information is being released at this time.
