POLICE: Couple Arrested for Trying to Sell Drugs at Motel

RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man and woman who police say traveled to a hotel to sell drugs are now behind bars.

Thursday detectives with the FADE Task Force and Russell Police Department arrested Amy L. Turvey, 29, of South Point, Ohio, and Nathaniel L. Johnson, 34, of Columbus, Ohio, at a motel in Russell.

Investigators say when they got on scene Johnson was already inside the motel and was trying hide from them by trying to get into several rooms..

Cocaine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, drug paraphernalia and cash was found on the couple and in their vehicle by investigators.

Turvey is charged with trafficking cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson is charged with trafficking cocaine.

Both are being held in the Greenup County Detention Center.
