CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police investigating what they are calling a "money-scheme" at a Charleston-area gas station.
It happened just before 6:30 p.m. At the Go-Mart in the 64-Hundred Block of MacCorkle Avenue in the Kanawha City area.
Charleston Police tell WSAZ.com they are looking for two men.
One of the two suspects was in the gas station earlier in the day speaking with the manager about a job. Police say this allowed the suspect to get the manager's name and what his voice sounded like.
Around 6:30 p.m., the suspect called pretending to be the manager and asked an employee to give over $500 to a delivery man. That man is the second suspect.
Once the money had been exchanged for a key, the two men took off.
Police tell WSAZ that the two suspects tried pulling the same stunt at the Marathon station across the street, but were unsuccessful.
If you have any information about the crime, please call police.
