GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A woman from South Shore and man from Columbus, Ohio have been arrested on heroin trafficking charges following an undercover drug buy at a residence in South Shore.

Members of the FADE Task Force assisted by the Flatwoods and South Shore Police Departments along with the Greenup County Sheriff’s Office and Greenup Social Services arrested the pair on Saturday.

The arrests followed a raid on the residence in the 28000-block of U.S. 23 in South Shore.

The homeowner, Heather Anderson, 34, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (Heroin), and engaging in organized crime. Rodney Baxter, AKA “Slim,” 37, of Columbus, faces the same charges.

FADE Task Force members say they had previously purchased approximately 1.5 grams of heroin from Baxter at the residence. They arrested Baxter following a traffic stop after he was seen leaving the residence. Investigators say they found $8,960 in his vehicle.

During the search of the residence, investigators say they found evidence of trafficking, including concealable safes and paraphernalia.

Both people were taken to the Greenup County Detention Center.
