PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The parents of a pregnant 13-year-old girl with autism have been arrested by Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies.
Deputies say Wendell, 41, and Geneva Rose, 33, both of Culloden have been charged with child neglect resulting in serious bodily injury.
This comes after Justin Vance, 28, was arrested and charged last week. Deputies say he had sex with the girl and impregnated her.
Vance and the girl met at Special Olympics. According to the criminal complaint, the girl began to refer to Vance as her boyfriend.
Deputies say her parents allowed Vance to live them after Special Olympics contacted them about an inappropriate relationship between the two.
The Rose's told deputies they allowed him to move in in exchange for help with the bills and chores around the house.
Deputies say the couple heard their daughter refer to Vance as her boyfriend several times and that they found Vance sleeping on the couch with the girl.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl's half sister and her boyfriend stayed at the house from time to time, and the Rose's said they believed the teen was mimicking the actions of her half sister.
Deputies also say the Rose's stated they allowed the boyfriend's of both girls to stay in their home.
